
Walking into the House of Commons and being recognised through an Early Day Motion — for the cooking, the kitchen team, and the contribution to the local community — was a moment that will live with me for a long time.
A standing ovation in that room is not something I had ever pictured for myself when I was nineteen and washing pans in a Pune hotel.
